The Forth on Danforth is a beautiful space, instantly inviting and incorporates the old and new in a gorgeous fusion.

Former Brassaii and Centro Executive Chef, Chris Kalisperas has taken his skills to the Danforth with his fresh new restaurant and lounge, The Forth. Kalisperas has created the perfect atmosphere within the established neighbourhood, using both floors of the  National Bank building, giving an old place new life. The space  is open concept with patrons on the top floor able to look down on the atmosphere below and people on both floors able to admire the large black and white vintage photo collage of Toronto streets projected on the central wall. The decor is subtle, with predominantly gray hues and clean lines throughout. There are a variety of seating styles, with long communal tables, tables both high and low, couches and bar seating.

The famous chef has created a playful menu that offers up a few surprises. Take for instance, octopus plated on a bed of puréed buttered popcorn or a delicate green salad topped with hazelnut brittle, celery and rhubarb. Patrons can enjoy snacks, appetizers, mains and sharing plates, all with an international flair and flavours.

Both the drinks and the food on Chef Kalisperas’ menu are playful and makes use of a variety of global flavours.

The highly curated drink menu is on par with the metropolitan food offerings. The Adult’s Beverage, one of the bartender’s favourite cocktails, is created with Remy Martin, cassis, darjeeling, strawberry tea, lemon juice and egg white, or try the Last Word, a combination of Botonist gin, maraschino liqueur, green chartreuse and lime juice. For the scotch lover, you’ll enjoy the option to choose between 18 different varieties, or take a walk over to the large wine wall on the main floor which features a wide selection of offerings from Canada and the Mediterranean.
