It’s always BBQ Season at Uncle Smoke’s Cookhouse

Uncle Smoke's BBQ. Smoke’s Cookhouse Toronto’s BBQ spot in Roncesvalles Village, includes an amazing selection of ribs, wings, fried chicken, Angus beef brisket, pulled pork, as well as a number of comfort food staples

If you are in the mood for a good BBQ in Toronto, then look no further than Uncle Smoke’s Cookhouse. Uncle Smoke’s offers catering services, dine-in and takeout, and has a small retail space at the front of the restaurant where you’ll find products including honey, jams, rubs and spices. Our favourite is the maple smoked bourbon mustard and tequila lime jalapeno jelly.

Uncle Smoke's BBQ. Try the Crushable sandwiches on the new summer menu. We had the Smoked Angus Beef brisket crushable sandwich, ($9.95), served with a side of fries. The brisket was very flavourful and tender, and we added some of the home-made BBQ sauce which really jazzed up the flavour even more. We appreciate the fact that Uncle Smoke’s sources its meat from local Angus certified farms in Ontario so you are getting nothing but top quality fresh meat when you eat here.

The Barnyard Sampler Platter ($39.95), gives you a large selection of items on the menu. It’s great for sharing and offers a decent portion of food. The platter includes Smoked Angus Beef Brisket, Barbecued Pork, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, 1/2 lb of chicken wings, home-made cornbread with honey butter, sauces, Crispy Fries, Mac and Cheese, and Signature Slaw. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken was crispy without being greasy while the chicken breast pieces were super moist. The cornbread and mac & cheese were also our favourites from this platter. Overall, the Barnyard Sampler Platter gives you amazing value for your money and amazing flavours for the BBQ lover.

Uncle Smoke's BBQ. The sides on the menu are also very good. The Crispy Fries come lightly spiced and are true to their name. The mac & cheese has a rich cheesy flavour as it contains old cheddar, parmesan and mozzarella cheese sauces. The Signature Slaw includes shredded cabbage, cucumber and radish in a slightly sweet cider dressing and is a perfect cooling pairing with the savoury barbecue meal.
