Now through January 19, visit your local Jack Astor’s to enjoy their Winter Fling Festival. It’s your chance to sample unique, local craft beers and pair them with some new menu items.

With descriptions inspired by popular online dating sites, the menu features five must-try brews available by the bottle ($5.66 to $6.48).

Tankhouse Ale is everything you’d expect from a redhead: bold, spicy and fiery

Muskoka Cream Ale likes to relax at the cottage, it’s preservative free with a flavour experience both grassy and fruity with a hint of toffee on the finish

Flying Monkey Hoptical Illusion Pale Ale is from a small town and looking to mingle in the city, and with citrusy hops this full bodied ale hits you (though underneath it has sweet honey malts and a clean finish)

Granville Island Lions Winter Ale is a west-coaster at heart, a premium malt with aromatic specialty hops and a smooth vanilla finish seems dark but is approachable once you get to know it

No fling would be complete without seduction right? Let Jack Astor’s new menu items seduce your taste buds and fulfill your inner cravings. The tender and moist Cluckin’ Chicken Dippers ($9.82) can be transformed into whatever your heart desires with unique salts and sauces for you to sprinkle, dip, mix and match. Perhaps you like things and little more exotic? Try the Creamy Asiago Shrimp & Smoked Mozza Ravioli ($16.74). Maybe you opt for a more hearty fling? Try the Holiday Brie Chicken dish served with Jack’s mashed potatoes and sweet onion gravy ($17.97). End your date with a silky, decadent Cherry On Top Chocolate Trifle ($3.97).
