Scene & Heard: Los Cabos Film Festival Gallery

It was another great year in Mexico for the Fourth Annual Los Cabos International Film Festival. Only a year after the city was heavily damaged by devastating hurricanes, the level of repair that was done to rebuild the city is a testament to the determination of its citizens. They welcomed a host of international guests and celebrities with warmth and their characteristic friendliness.

This year Cabos announced collaborations with Tribeca Film Festival, Independent Filmmaker Projects (IFP), and solidified a partnership with the Cannes Film Festival in Los Cabos Goes to Cannes. Also for the first time, the FIPRESCI Award was presented to Te prometo anarquía (I Promise You Anarchy), directed by Julio Hernández Cordón by the International Federation of Film Critics.

The festival’s main prize The Competencia Los Cabos Cinemex Award went to Lenny Abrahamson for his critically acclaimed film Room.
