Jamaica is sending a strong team of athletes to represent the country for Toronto’s Pan Am Games, and theSceneinTO was at the the official launch of Team Jamaica House in oronto, at the sunshine-filled lakeside event space, Atlantis Pavillion.
The launch was a kick-off for a special three-day event, sure to be a unique Jamaican experience filled with the island’s tasty cuisine and performances by well known Jamaican musical artists. Miss Jamaica, Kaci Fennell made a guest appearance at the event, as did several of the participating athletes.
Jamaica House, presented by the Jamaica Tourism Board, invites visitors from around the world to experience a taste of the island’s culture, while mingling with some of their athletes and celebrities and learning more about the popular Caribbean country.
The following headlining artists are confirmed to perform at Jamaica House beginning at 6pm each evening.
Wednesday, July 22 – Ignition featuring: Rootz Underground
Thursday, July 23 – Sound Clash featuring: I-Octane & Baby Cham
Friday, July 24 – Finale starring: Maxi Priest

Jamaica House Toronto is being organized by Toronto-based events company JACANA Group with the Jamaica Tourist Board as the title sponsor. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
