It’s time again for the Interior Design Show/IDS ’13. This weekend join hundreds of people as they flock to Toronto’s Metro Convention Centre for a healthy dose of inspiration for any home owner.
Guests can browse new and innovative Canadian and international product gems from over 300 exhibitors. At IDS’13 you will enjoy international interior design, architecture and industrial design trends to satisfy even the fussiest of decorators.
In addition to individual exhibitors, add some renowned guest speakers to your visit with the likes of some of the most influential names in the architectural and design worlds such as Jerszy Seymour, Jurgen Mayer, Douglas Coupland and Christine Lemieux of DwellStudio.

Christiane Lemieux: A native of Ottawa, Christiane Lemieux began her career in fashion, working as a fabric assistant for Isaac Mizrahi and then as an assistant designer for the Gap. She then applied her skills to home furnishings as design director with Portico, a New York-based home company, where she fell in love with the permanence and craftsmanship of home design.
Douglas Coupland: A renaissance man, Douglas Coupland is unafraid to embrace a range of creative outlets to express his ideas. Well-known as a novelist, his visual art, installations and design projects have earned him considerable status as a true visionary and groundbreaker. His first novel, the international bestseller Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture, changed our vocabulary and ushered in a new way to understand our culture and how we navigate through it. He has continued to disrupt and offer new perspectives through all of his subsequent work.
4pm – 5pm
John Gidding: John Gidding is a designer and TV host who shares his expertise with legions of viewers of the popular HGTV series Designed to Sell and Curb Appeal: The Block. Born in Istanbul to a Greek mother and American father, John developed an early enthusiasm and aptitude for art and math. He attended American schools in Turkey and Switzerland before moving to the United States to attend Yale University, where he graduated with a BA in architecture. He later attended Harvard’s Graduate School of Design for a master’s degree in architecture.
