25 – 40-year-old socially aware, up-and-comers with disposable incomes. Our readership is roughly 75% female, 25% male. Our core demographic are mostly Toronto and GTA based, university educated decision makers who enjoy the good life and want a website that speaks directly to them. Our readers are always on the look out for smart ideas and unique finds.

TheSceneinTO helps inform our readers about what’s new and exciting in and around the city of Toronto as well as serving to remind them about time honoured and often overlooked gems. We are a cultural website that strives to get people back into and excited about the arts and supporting small businesses around the city.

Web Traffic
The site has been up and running since April 2010 and has already attracted thousands of unique visitors and we have several thousand page views per month. Our Facebook fan page, established in May ’11 has received over 220,000 impressions. Each month we see continued growth. In a recent poll, 87% of our readers stated they were likely to visit a business that was promoted on our website. 73% responded that they would purchase a product/service that was promoted on the site. Editorial and Events

Product Submission: We are always interested in testing out new products. Please note that any product sent is for consideration only, which means TheSceneinTO is not guaranteed to review your product. Our lead time is currently three to five weeks. For seasonal items, lead time is typically one to two weeks.

Review Policy: Products are submitted for consideration only, which means we cannot guarantee a review. We likewise cannot guarantee a positive review. What we will never do, is write a purely negative review of your product. We incorporate both the pros and cons of the product and dependent on the type/quantity received, the review is fairly based on the writers and/or readers’ personal experience with the product.

Events: TheSceneinTO welcomes covering local and international events, shows, product launches, store openings, and special events. TheSceneinTO aims to be your destination website for Toronto’s Arts & Culture crowd. Our core coverage areas include the arts, film, travel, fashion, food and events. Our writers take the time to produce well rounded and relevant articles and reviews that are well written and speak to our audience directly.

Part of our growth strategy for 2013/14 is to add more writers to our roster while boosting our social media initiatives and 3rd party collaborations.
