As Toronto settles into spring, Wine Fest Toronto is once again offering a reason to slow down, sip, and explore something new.
Returning May 15–17 to Heritage Court at Exhibition Place, the three-day festival brings together a global lineup of wines, spirits, and ready-to-drink beverages, all under one roof. It’s part tasting event, part social hangout, and part passport to regions you might not otherwise discover in a single afternoon.
This year, the festival introduces a new token-based tasting system, giving guests more control over how they experience the event. Instead of fixed pours, attendees can choose how much, and how widely, they want to sample, whether that means trying a little bit of everything or focusing on a few premium selections. Each ticket includes three complimentary pours to get started, with additional tastings available through tokens purchased on-site or in advance.
For those who like to plan ahead, Wine Fest also offers a digital wallet system where guests can browse the full drink lineup before arriving, a useful tool for mapping out must-try wines or simply avoiding decision fatigue once inside.
As always, the festival leans heavily into discovery. This spring’s edition highlights wines and beverages from across the globe, including selections from Italy, Spain, Chile, South Africa, and New Zealand, alongside a special spotlight on France, marking the festival’s largest showcase of French wines to date. For both seasoned wine drinkers and curious newcomers, it’s an opportunity to explore a wide range of styles and regions without leaving the city.
The experience goes beyond the glass. Throughout the weekend, guests can expect live music, food truck eats, and interactive moments, creating an atmosphere that feels more like a laid-back spring gathering than a traditional tasting event. Complimentary seminar sessions also return, offering a chance to deepen your knowledge, whether you’re learning how to taste like a pro or simply figuring out what you like.
With extended hours across three days, Wine Fest encourages a more relaxed pace than many large-scale events. It’s designed to let guests linger, revisit favourites, and discover something unexpected along the way.
