Hosted by Jason Priestley, Canada’s Walk of Fame 2015 will take place on Saturday, November 7 at Toronto’s Sony Centre. Filmed for national broadcast on Global and scheduled to air on Thursday, December 17 at 8pm ET/PT, the event will honour this year’s Canada’s Walk of Fame Inductees and Allan Slaight Honour recipient, 17-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-platinum recording artist Shawn Mendes. Mendes will also take the stage performing along side four-time JUNO Award winner Johnny Reid performing music from his highly anticipated upcoming album, What Love is All About.

The 2015 Canada’s Walk of Fame Inductees are:
Michael Bublé, Musician
Don Cherry and Ron MacLean, Hockey Broadcasters, Coach’s Corner
Wendy Crewson, Actor
Lorne Greene, Actor (Cineplex Legends Inductee)
Lawrence Hill, Author
Silken Laumann, Athlete

Since 1998, Canada’s Walk of Fame annually honours individuals for their achievements in various fields, including music, sports, film and television, literary, visual and performing arts, science, innovation, philanthropy and social justice. Candidates must have been born in or spent their creative or formative years in Canada. A minimum of 10 successful years is required to qualify, as well as a recognized body of work that has had a significant influence on our cultural heritage.
