INNOCENCE CANADA MISSED MOMENTS INSTALLATION
November 14, 2016 @ 8:00 am - November 19, 2016 @ 6:00 pm
FreeFrom November 14 – 19, 2016, Michael Murphy, renowned sculptor and the pioneer of perceptual art, will be in Toronto creating an installation at 130 Adelaide Street West. Known for iconic installations like Gun Country and 3D portraits like Electoral Divide (a portrait of Obama commissioned by TIME Magazine), Michael Murphy joins us in Toronto to raise awareness and funds for Innocence Canada.
Innocence Canada is a Canadian not-for-profit organization dedicated to identifying, advocating for, and exonerating the wrongfully convicted. The organization partnered with Michael Murphy to bring to life the missed moments of one particular Canadian who was wrongfully convicted. Exoneree Ron Dalton, a father of three who spent 10 years in prison for being wrongfully convicted of murdering his wife, is the protagonist in Michael Murphy’s work, and will be on-site when the installation is revealed.
Donations will be accepted on-site or online at www.innocencecanada.com.
