Author and mother of 3, Leslie Means, had quite a few stories to share after having children. She began writing about her children online at her website Herviewfromhome.com (2.5+ million monthly readers) in 2016. The website took off, other mothers contributed their stories and Leslie decided to gather the stories in her new book, So God Made a Mother: Tender, Proud, Strong, Faithful, Known, Beautiful, Worthy, and Unforgettable–Just Like You (Published by Tyndale House Publishers and available everywhere on April 18, 2023).

So God Made a Mother features a collection of emotional essays from women of all ages and stages, including well-known authors such as Amy Weatherly (I’ll Be There (But I’ll Be Wearing Sweatpants)), Jess Urlichs (287K on Instagram / From One Mom to a Mother: Poetry & Momisms), Kathy Radigan (TODAY.COM Contributor), and Kelly Cervantes (Wife to Miguel Cervantes (Broadway’s Hamilton), Epilepsy awareness and adoption advocate), offers a powerful and relatable look at motherhood. Leslie takes readers on a journey that celebrates a mother’s purpose and worth, while also addressing the challenges and joys of the role. No two mothers are alike. No two experiences in motherhood mirror each other. But something powerful happens when our stories of motherhood come together—they speak love, worth, value, and beauty. They take the undefinable experience of motherhood and give it shape and substance and strength. They speak to us all.

Leslie started Her View From Home in her tiny closet in 2016 and almost gave up on the website when she was expecting her third child. She received a story submission from a woman who wanted to share about her friend who had died by suicide from postpartum depression. After the article went live, the website exploded with viewers and ever since has been a popular go-to resource for mothers seeking insightful, encouraging advice on motherhood, pregnancy, marriage, relationships, grief, child loss, faith, mental illness, and life. The site also features a popular collection of faith-inspired clothing and lifestyle products,

Means currently lives in Nebraska with her husband Kyle and three children (Ella, Grace and Keithan), and, when she isn’t managing HVFH or writing her monthly newspaper column, is likely shopping at Target.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from the dynamic and inspiring Leslie Means, a leader in the motherhood space and a voice for mothers everywhere.
