The Shaw Festival is set to usher in the holiday theatre season with its beloved tradition, Charles Dickens’s timeless classic, A Christmas Carol. The production is slated to begin on November 5th at the illustrious Royal George Theatre.

Portrayed by Sanjay Talwar this season, Scrooge undergoes a profound change thanks to visits by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the spirits of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.

The Shaw’s adaptation features an impressive ensemble cast, including Élodie Gillett as Christmas Past, Shawn Wright as Christmas Present, and Jason Cadieux as Mr. Hubble. Marlene Ginader graces the stage as Belle, while Patty Jamieson embodies Mrs. Dilber. The production also showcases Andrew Lawrie as Bob Cratchit, Jonathan Tan as Fred, Jacqueline Thair as Mrs. Cratchit, and Kiana Woo* as Emily.
