The Book of Mormon tells the story of two young Mormon missionaries sent to a remote village in northern Uganda, where a brutal warlord looms over the people. Naïve and optimistic, the two missionaries try to share the Good Book, but have trouble connecting with the locals, who are more worried about impending local disaster than about religion.
It’s the perfect blend of South Park sensibilities and the energetic musical crassness of Avenue Q. It couldn’t be anything else since the show was created by South Park creators, Trey Park and Matt Stone, in addition to Robert Lopez, the co-creator of Avenue Q.
