Last night, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s North Building was abuzz as the Interior Design Show 2025 (IDS25) launched with its much-anticipated Opening Night Party, presented by Anatolia. The event drew a vibrant mix of industry leaders, design enthusiasts, and media personalities, all eager to celebrate the latest in design innovation.

The evening commenced with a press conference by Salone del Mobile Milano, offering attendees an exclusive preview of what’s to come at the world’s premier design event in April. Maria Porro, President of Salone del Mobile, and Marva Griffin, founder of Salone Satellite, shared insights into upcoming trends and the evolving landscape of global design.

As guests mingled, they explored the “Night & Day: The Evolution of Hotel Design” installation, IDS25’s flagship feature. This exhibit showcased four distinct spaces crafted by top interior designers and architects, each highlighting the transformation of hotels into multifunctional hubs for meeting, dining, working, and socializing. The designs seamlessly balanced security, hygiene, comfort, and style, reflecting the future of hospitality design.

The party atmosphere was elevated with live music, interactive installations, and a curated selection of hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, providing ample opportunities for networking and inspiration. Attendees were treated to a first look at innovative product launches and thought-provoking installations, setting the tone for the days ahead.

Notable figures in attendance included Canadian design legends George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, who are scheduled to return to the show for a keynote discussion. Their presence underscored the event’s significance as a nexus for design excellence.

As the night concluded, the excitement was palpable, with many expressing anticipation for the upcoming seminars, exhibitions, and keynote presentations. The Opening Night Party not only celebrated the commencement of IDS25 but also highlighted Toronto’s pivotal role in the global design community.
