Celebrate the Year of the Snake as it slithers into town with the Chinese New Year Carnival. For two shows only, China’s best acrobats, dancers, musicians and actors are inviting you to step into another world with this grand spectacle.
Presented by the Canada China Cultural Development Association, audiences will be immersed in a series of stories about China. Each story highlights different aspects of the country: its image, its colour, and its rhythm—while showcasing the talents of the China National Performing Arts Troupe. Their intricate costumes, back-breaking contortions, and nail-biting stunts are sure to amaze.
The whole show will move along to the folk sounds of the China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra. The renowned ensemble blends contemporary and traditional instruments for a unique composition.
