Toronto’s most enchanting holiday tradition is back—and this year, Casa Loma is brighter, bigger, and more magical than ever. Beginning December 5 through January 2, the historic castle transforms into a winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights, soaring performances, festive décor, and interactive family moments that make the season feel unforgettable.
Whether you’re strolling the glowing outdoor trails at twilight or wandering inside the castle’s grand halls decked in sparkling holiday decor, Casa Loma delivers that nostalgic Christmas magic Torontonians return for year after year. Following the buzz from local outlets and family influencers—who consistently praise the event’s “storybook atmosphere” and “picture-perfect holiday scenes at every turn” —this year’s experience is shaping up to be a must-visit.
Two Holiday Experiences — One Unforgettable Setting
Casa Loma offers two signature programs to match every mood, from cozy daytime exploration to dramatic night-time spectacle.
**🌟 Holiday Lights Tour
Daily, 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Once the sun sets, the castle’s gardens glow to life in a dreamlike outdoor trail of illuminated tunnels, whimsical light installations, and immersive photo moments. Families love this tour for its interactive fun, and this year brings even more to discover:
- Fire Guy performing high-energy fire displays
- Meet-and-greets with Olaf and the Winter Princesses
- Pop-up characters and roaming performers
- A chance for children to deliver their Christmas wish list to Santa
- Festive music, sparkling décor, and magical scenes around every corner
Past attendees have praised the Lights Tour as “one of the city’s best holiday walk-throughs”—and the 2025 edition raises the bar with even more interactivity and Insta-ready moments.
**🎄 Christmas at the Castle
Daily, 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
During the day, Casa Loma’s interiors take center stage as the castle becomes a living Christmas storybook.
Step inside to find:
- A towering 20-foot Great Hall tree
- Eight designer trees, creatively imagined by top Canadian talents including Amber Walker, Amanda Aerin, Jane Lockhart, Joseph Tassoni, and more
- Live performances from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Santa’s Workshop & letter-writing station
- Holiday characters and magical surprises for young visitors
The entertainment lineup is especially impressive this year, featuring:
- The Jambo Brothers (semi-finalists on Canada’s Got Talent)
- Knight Before Christmas swordplay and archery shows
- Aerialist performances
- Soaring vocals by Sara Papini and Amanda Orla
- Roaming mimes, mascots, and an interactive magician
Everything—from the décor to the performances—has been carefully curated by Creative Director Nadia Di Donato, ensuring a polished, theatrical atmosphere that still feels accessible and family-friendly.
🍽️ New This Year: Liberty Caffé Stays Open Later
For the first time, Casa Loma’s Liberty Caffé will remain open after 4 p.m. during both programs. Guests can warm up with festive treats, enjoy a family dinner, or grab a seasonal drink before continuing their holiday adventure.
🎁 Give Back While You Celebrate
The castle will once again host a toy drive for the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish Foundation. Visitors are encouraged to bring a wrapped toy, and $1 from every adult admission to Christmas at the Castle will be donated directly to the charity.
This added element of community spirit has long resonated with visitors—an uplifting reminder of what the season is truly about.
✨ The Magic of Christmas, Toronto-Style
From cocoa under the stars to acrobats in the Conservatory, Casa Loma offers an immersive holiday escape unlike anywhere else in the city. Whether you’re discovering it for the first time or returning as part of a family tradition, the experience captures the wonder, warmth, and whimsy that define a perfect Toronto Christmas.
