Ron Hawkins at The Drake

Ron Hawkins will be celebrating the release of his new album “Garden Songs” with a stellar show at The Drake featuring a fully decked out band (with a full horn section) and a special appearance by Bobby Wiseman – the party continues with Ron playing The Drake for two more consecutive nights.
A Canadian indie stalwart, Hawkins is best known for his seminal 90’s rock outfit, The Lowest of the Low – who, in 2008 was inducted into the Canadian Indie Rock Hall of Fame and awarded gold records for Shakespeare My Butt.
“Garden Songs” is partially the result of a self-imposed challenge to record and mix a full album of his more contemplative repertoire in one hot week of activity – and in record time, the tracks were recorded live off the floor at Toronto’s Revolution Recordings with producer/engineer Joe Dunphy.
