After her successful Blu Party back in November, Sydney returns to the picturesque Sunnyside Pavilion on Saturday, June 18th. An event concept born from Sydney Blu’s record label Blu Music, the Blu party always features dynamic talent from the techno and house communities. Joining Sydney Blu will be a showcase of Toolroom artists including house music ambassador Weiss and NYC’s championed Joeski.

TheSceneinTO was luckily enough to grab some time from the DJ maven Sydney Blu.

Whats the one festival youve always wanted to perform at? Any artist youve wanted to collaborate with?

Electric Daisy Carnival. I guess it’s a bucket list gig. I would also love to play Sonar one day. Artists I’d love to collaborate with? Hot Since 82.

Whos on your current playlist? Anyone in particular youre keeping your eye on?

Current playlist? “Veins” by Hot Since 82 is a favourite. Also “Another Day” Christian Neilson, and “She Said” by Damarii Sanderson and 7th Star (Gene Farris Bang the Box Remix) coming out on BLU Music this Monday!

Whats the weirdest thing thats ever happened to you while touring or performing?

Someone thought I was a bartender because they were so messed up and tried to order drinks from me.

Whats the one piece of advice you would have given yourself while starting off?

Chill…it’s just music. Everything works out in the end.
