The Fight to End Cancer gala takes the “fight” quite literally and packs a punch

On May 31st, head over to the Old Mill and watch some of Toronto’s CEO’s box it out Olympic style, in their bid to fight cancer.
Cancer continues to be one of our most devastating disorders. We can’t seem to escape it or overcome it…yet. But we’re getting there with research and the proof is in the number of cancer survivors we all know.
There are many ways we choose to support the research and the fight and many charities that exist to continue the funding. Eliciting donations is an ongoing challenge and that, along with the sheer entertainment value, brings us to The Fight to End Cancer Gala, which is, quite literally, a real fight. Now, who wouldn’t want to see a bunch of CEO’s box it out in the ring?
On Saturday May 31, 2014 the 3’rd Annual Fight To End Cancer Fundraising Gala will take over the Old Mill with five bouts of Olympic style boxing. Enjoy an elegant dinner and bar while local business leaders and celebrities battle to knock cancer out in the ring.
Led by Kingsway Boxing, who supports the boxers with seven months of training, the event supports The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation in their Fight to End Cancer ongoing campaign, and the Gala has raised over $100k since the 2012 inaugural event.
Check out the roster of fighters here, choose your favourite to cheer for, and then purchase your tickets to the main event here then sit back and enjoy a night of dining, entertainment and classic boxing.
Fight to End Cancer is a charity boxing gala founded in 2011 and they have partnered with the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation because of the direct support they provide within the community. The gala will also raise funds for the What Are You Fighting For? initiative, a program that supports and provides opportunities to exceptional youth within the community. The goal – for which the support of the community and local business owners is fundamental, is to raise funds for a cause that directly affects the world we live in.
