Vic Mensa Joins Jay Z

Vic Mensa is opening for Jay-Z at the Air Canada Centre on November 22 and 23. Vic is Jay-Z and Kanye’s protege, and one of the most outspoken and socially conscious rappers out right now. He’s incredibly brilliant – he speaks on systems of oppression, race, economy, mental health. Check out his recent interview with Larry King below.
He just put out his debut album which is a complex, beautiful and deep project that was exec. produced by No I.D. (he just did Jay-Z’s new album too). It features Pharrell, Weezer, The-Dream, Pusha T, Ty Dolla $ign, SYD, Chief Keef, Joey Purp + more on it. It’s powerful and real – Vic talks about forgiving the man that killed his best friend, getting clean and fighting for his own life.
