The album (and preceding EPs\, all on Stones Throw) has gotten a *ton* of critical love (epic NYTimes feature\, NPR All Things Considered piece\, glowing review from Guardian\, Jools Holland performance\, etc.). She’s got an amazing look and a wholly original music aesthetic (largely self-produced) that blurs genre boundaries via a sly R&B vocal style\, experimental electronic textures\, classically-inclined violin melodies\, etc. \nShe just dropped this stunning video:
