This creative movement has been propelled to encourage the expression of young people. It provides a platform for them to comfortably share their stories and inspire them to invest in their communities\, making the world a safer place one slam at a time. \nOn June 3\, the finalists will take the stage before the audience and the judges will determine the winning Slam Team for Louder Than A Bomb Toronto. The top four teams that made it to finals were narrowed down and carefully selected from 16 schools across the city. Joining the contestants on the stage will be 2010 Canadian Beatbox Champion KRNFX with a live performance. KRNFX is widely recognized for his appearance in the first season of Canada’s Got Talent in 2012. \n  \nSpecial guests\, Organik\, founder of the world premier rap battle league King of the Dot (KOTD) and Bishop\, co-host and rap battle legend of KOTD\, will be judges at the event. SUMMARY:NBS' Sharing Dance Day
DESCRIPTION:Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS) will kick off its nationwide celebration for Canada’s 150thanniversary of Confederation beginning June 2 at Sharing Dance Day events – free to the public – taking place across the country. \nA Canada 150 Signature Project\, NBS’ Sharing Dance Day events will bring Canadians and their communities together by empowering them to enjoy the physical\, social\, emotional and cultural benefits of dance. The Canada 150 Signature Project is funded in part by the by the Government of Canada through the Canada 150 Fund\, and with the support of presenting partner Shaw Communications Inc. \nSharing Dance Day events include professional dance performances\, open free dance classes\, activity booths\, music\, and engaging activities for all ages and abilities. The highlight of each Signature Official Event will be performances of the 2017 Sharing Dance choreography\, which has been taught and rehearsed across the country in dance studios\, schools\, community centres\, long-term care facilities\, and via online rehearsal videos – by children and youth\, seniors and everyone in between – since January. \n\nToronto – Yonge-Dundas Square\, June 2 from 12 noon – 6 p.m. ET\n\n\nChildren and Youth Event\, 12 noon – 2 p.m. ET\nSeniors Event\, 3 – 4 p.m. ET\nCommunity\, 4 – 6 p.m. ET

Album is coming Friday (stream below) cosigns from Metallica\, Mike D\, Dillinger Escape Plan\, Faith No More\, Dave Sitek (produced some of the album). They have one of the most captivating live shows I’ve seen. Ho99o9’s set was revelatory. Flailing across the stage and into the pit\, the singers exuded complete control of their noise and vision. Just when you thought they couldn’t expend any more energy\, Eaddy ended the set with a back flip — an expression of the musical liberation they’d achieved. – NPR\nWith two rappers backed by electronics and a drummer\, the songs leaped through decades worth of gut-punching sounds — slow subwoofer-abusing hip-hop\, death metal\, thrash\, wriggly synthesizer tones\, punk\, post-punk\, some splotches of pink noise — as waveforms flashed and strobed on a video screen and the rappers jumped all around the stage; one did a flip.
