Matt Slaman, owner and creator of Pirate Life, has opened his family pirate ship adventure to the public.
Located on Centre Island, Pirate Life adds to the list of Toronto attractions perfect for families vacationing in the city.
“The adventure starts on land where everyone joins the crew with costumes, face paint and nicknames,” says, Matt. “From there, we take to the seas for a one hour adventure full of fun and excitement aboard the pirate ship searching for sunken treasure.”
Pirate Life adventure theatre/cruise caters to the imagination and sense of adventure in young children. Suitable for all ages and best for children between the ages of three to nine, it is the only attraction of its kind in the Toronto area and offers families a chance to experience Centre Island from a new perspective.
“Pirate Life adventure is for the entire family,” says Matt. “Parents participate in the adventure from start to finish. We allow them to become a pirate and experience what it’s like to be a kid again.”
Pirate life operates six shows a day with the first show at 10:45 a.m. and the last show scheduled for 5 p.m. The Island Rogue, the 45 foot pirate ship, is Transport Canada certified and is capable of taking 33 passengers into a world of action and adventure. Tickets are $25 per person and free for children two and under.
