Located on Esplanade de La Défense and centered between the Arc-de-Triomphe at the Champs-Elysees to the Arche de la Défense, the nautical theme is set perfectly in front of the tranquil Takis pond.
Ideal for the working traveler, the hotel is located in Paris’ business district, an area with a lively and energetic character. Walking along the esplanade you’ll come across a large variety of open-air contemporary art installations. Witness the artistic movements from the beginnings of revitalization of the neighborhood to present day. Look out for the Red Spider of Calder, Caesar’s Thumb and if you’re a comic book fan, make your way over to the Avengers Station. Another attraction of the area is Les Quatre Temps, one of the largest shopping centers in Europe.
Rooms at La Défense feature clean lines, panoramic views of Paris and are well appointed. Because it is a newer build, the space is not defined by the confines of the older, converted buildings you find throughout Europe. Le Miroir, located on the first floor, boasts a Chef to royalty. Patricio De Diego De La Vega has served the Spanish Royal Family and brings his culinary delights to Paris. At this à la carte you’ll find traditional Spanish starters, share plates, and entrées freshly prepared.
You must make an evening stop in to the Skyline Paris lounge and bar. Located on the 19th floor, guests are treated to breathtaking views of Paris at night—the city of lights. Sip some champagne, or whatever your beverage of choice may be and if you’re hungry, pair your drink with the variety of tasty nibbles the lounge has to offer.
Don’t be put off by the location of the hotel. The property offers a direct underground connection to the city center. Metro station Esplanade de La Défense is steps away and you’ll be in the heart of Paris in 10 minutes.
Do ask the concierge to book your airport taxi in advance, it’s cheaper at €55 vs €61. You can order an uber for roughly €44, but according to the concierge and many other reviews, it can be difficult to find the hotel parking entrance. If you select this option, their advice was to meet your driver at the nearby Novotel.
