Lakeshorts International Short Film Festival

Lakeshorts International Short Film Festival runs this weekend in Toronto

Lakeshorts International Short Film Festival kicks off their sixth season May 6-7, offering a number of Canadian and international films for local audience consumption. We here at TheSceneinTO love short films because when done well, these stories can be more profound, leaving longer lasting impressions than many of today’s big budget blockbusters.

Tickets are still available for Friday night’s Scotiabank Loved and Local films, featuring all-Canadian shorts. Here are a list of our eight must-sees.

1. Good Knight (AKA Batman) – Karen Hawes – Canada – 15 min Stephen Lawrence never intended on becoming Batman but a sequence of life-altering events led him down a path where he began to see the connection between his life and Bruce Wayne’s.
