There isn’t a shortage of shops on Queen West. If you walk far enough, you’ll hit everything from major retailers to small independent boutiques. The latest addition to Queen Street’s plethora of stores is the Canadian based Joe Fresh at Queen and Portland. The stand-alone store is 8,200 square feet of affordable fashion for both men and women.

The great (and democratic) thing about Joe Fresh is that there is literally something for everyone – whether you’re devoted to fashion, just looking to replenish your t-shirt collection (or both), you’re almost guaranteed to find something at Joe. Currently, the racks are lined with a variety of pieces including a shiny patent leather black pencil skirt for $49 and a classic white button down for $19. The range of items Joe offers is expansive, but fortunately for us, not expensive.

Joe Fresh has done something very impressive; they’ve maintained their position as the go-to place for affordable basics while simultaneously catapulting into the realm of fashion forward style and design. In creating an identity that is rife with sartorial dichotomy, Joe Fresh has managed to appeal to people across aesthetic boundaries. And really, isn’t that what Canadian fashion is all about?
